Faith Equals Obedience

There some things that you might believe in me for but you don*t always need to obey me. I am not God. Because of who God is, having faith in Him means obeying Him. God must be obeyed. As we grow as Christians, our obedience to Him will grow along with it. There will be no disobedience in Heaven. Faith that does not produce obedience to God is vain (useless) faith.

Acts 5:32: And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Romans 1:5: By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Romans 15:18: For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

Romans 16:25: Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: 27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Romans 6:16: Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Ephesians 5:6: Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Hebrews 5:6: As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

If men believe in a God that is not worthy of obedience, they believe in an idol. If God has not changed you from a child of disobedience into an obedient child, how can anyone believe that you are saved? How can you believe it?
